Buying most of the homeware departments

Since my birthday in February when I got a lot of money as presents, I have slowly been collecting stuff to take to uni. I now have a rather large collection under my bed. I have something like 7 pans... Ive got bed covers, kitchen utensils, decorations, posters, bags, clothes, shoes, stationary, more kitchen utensils. You name it, ive got it. Dad says hes not really sure how a) we are going to get it to Loughborough and b) I'm going to fit it in my tiny room. Personally, I cant see why we cant take the roof box as well as our Ford Galaxy as I am definitely going to have at least 4 suitcases of clothes ALONE. And that's before the masses of kitchen stuff I have under the bed. Im going self-catered, which means that i will be cooking my own food. That's why I need all the kitchen stuff, although at this rate i'll be able to provide for the whole hall, not just myself. Recently, my parents and brother went on holiday, leaving me to fend for myself. It didnt go all that well as I missed them alot and broke quite a lot of the household appliances.... I did however quite successfully manage to cook for myself and when I say cook, i dont mean microwaved Pizza. I had proper meals. So i think i'll be ok at that when it comes to it.
I am currently working a summer job in order to raise money for UNI, because although Mum and Dad are kindly giving me an allowance to spend on food etc, I'd quite like to be able to afford a few luxurys (which for me means more clothes) I am working for a childcare agency called Tinies. http://www.tinies.com/
Im a temp in nurserys, so pretty much if someone who works in a nursery is ill or on holiday, my agent calls me and asks me to go in and work a shift to cover for them. Im basically a supply teacher for 0-4s. I really enjoy it and for £6 an hour it is fun work and a good summer job. I find it a lot more interesting than if i was working in a shop, athough discounts on nappies and the occasional free cartoon of full fat milk doesnt really appeal to me....
anyway, thats all for now.

The end of the long wait

So, HI, my name is Rachel. I am currently 18 years old and have just finished two of the hardest years of my life. Back in 2009, as a naive 16 year old, I happily believed everything my school told me about how confident they were with their decision to do the International Baccalaureate (IB) and that although pretty much everyone else in my year was doing the typical A Levels, I was a candidate who could further myself through doing the IB. There was 50 of us who signed up at first (all with very good GCSES), out of a 300 strong sixth form... however due to the terrible results of the schools first year of IB many dropped out leaving is with a total of 28. I went to a state school, and the IB is a very expensive qualification to run so already we were at a disadvantage because the lack of students meant that it wasn't worth sending our teachers on IB specific training course so pretty much no one knew how to teach it. Over the next few months more people dropped out as we discovered it was not only demanding, but often boring as we had to take 7 subjects (including compulsory Maths, Science, Languages and English). By the end of the two years we were left with about 21 students. On June 6th 2011 we recieved out results which would tell us if we got into uni. I needed 36 points on my Ib to get to Loughborough-my first choice uni. I got 34. I spent the next week on the phone, emailing and on facebook trying to persuade them to let me in. Something must have worked cause they did. So woohoo now im going.....
