Wow what a night!

Last night was my first night at Loughborough, and after a few wobbles when Mum and Dad left I had such a good time. when they first left i was freaking out, but Sarahs parents left soon after so it was so nice to have a cup of tea and a chat with her about it all. I felt 100 times better. It was a bit bizarre though because there are 5 rooms in our flat and at 3pm no one else had arrived. However shortly after than a girl called Alis (pronounced Elise) came and shes also lovely. Turns out though that we have returners in the other two flats which is a bit of a let down- but they wont arrive until Saturday so at least we get extra space until then!
At 4pm our blocks 'reps' came to get us and we went on the lawn to play getting-to-know-each-other games, like I have never and the game where you say three facts and one isn't true. It was fun but one boy said something a bit odd that i thought was bizarre to admit in the first hour of meeting everyone!
After that we were taken for some dinner, which was a burger and chips, I couldnt face eating though as mum and dad took me out for a massive burger at lunch at a pub! So I didnt eat anything- something I think i regretted at 4am when i got really hungry but couldnt be bothered to go and get food....
Currently I am trying to force breakfast down myself, but for some reason I dont feel like eating.... I think its because the cereal we bought isnt very nice. I may have to try some other brands before finding the one I want. Seems a pity to waste so much cereal though....
After the food we had to sit through an HOUR lecture about safety. at 7.30.... to be honest i dont think anyone was listening and I almost fell asleep because they dimmed the lights so we could see the projector. Hope they dont do that in normal lectures! teehee.....
Then it was back home to get ready and go out for clubbing. Chanting the rowdy BillMo song which seems to be more of a bunch of random made up words. we headed to the union. it was insane, there was so many people, it was very sweaty- i cant believe thats what its like when only 3 halls are there.... not sure i'll cope with more!
Anyway today Sarah, Alis, and a girl we met called Ali, plan to have a duvet day to recover and watch my One tree hill boxsets. We'll also explore! :D

Hi guys! Mum and Dad just left and I am freaking out. I feel really sick which im hoping is nerves and it feels so weird :( We've had an awesome day so far though. we decorated my room and unpacked etc which was great and now i'm just waiting for the BillMo stuff to start at four, when appaz we are going on a tour or something. We went out for a big lunch and it was nice although i couldnt finish all the food. So far it looks like there will be 5 girls in my flat- but only one of the others is here. She is called Sarah and she seems nice from what I can tell so far!
Here are some photos!

Loughborough is tommorow!

Well today is my last day- eep! Its been a cool few days, been doing a lot of goodbyes. On Saturday, Seb and I went on our last date before I leave tommorow. It was lovely we went to a nice restaurant called Verdis, but it was also a little sad because im going to miss him alot.

Mum and I have also finished packing the car which is really cool, and in the end-no- i didnt need the roofbox. There is still one bag to go in because theres stuff i still need tommorow like make up and straighteners, but its not mega huge so im pretty sure if I fit in, it will. Fingers crossed anywhoo! I cant believe im actually leaving tommorow, it feels so weird to be going out into the big wide world all by myself. Im going to have to be really brave and try not to hide in my room with my teddy. Me and Mum made muffins in order to bribe people to be my friends so im hoping that a muffin and a nice cup of tea will be a good talking point and help me make some new friends.

The next blog post on here will be from Loughborough itself- so remember to tune in to find out what goes on, and i promise to pop lots of photos on there for you to see, and who knows, if im feeling techy-maybe i'll do a video :D
Love to everyone reading. wish me luck!

the pile gets bigger

Will I ever fit it all in? Moreover... will we ever carry it all up flights of stairs to my room.... hmm. I feel like we may have to rope in some Loughborough boys!  Rugby players watch out-27th September you're heavy lifting!

Getting techy!

Hey guys, just so you know Ive figured out new ways for you to follow the blog, if you arent already on the email list. On the right hand side of the page you can put your email in to get emails when i post a new blog. OR you can click to add it to your google or  netvibe etc. Feel free to comment if this isnt working. Hope you are all well and more photos soon. The pile is getting MUCH MUCH bigger! Currently all my dresses are hanging outside drying. 14 dresses, 12 pairs of shoes.... hmmm may have to sort out the summer and winter wardrobe!!!

Oh dear...

So here is a picture of the amount of stuff I have already, and I haven't packed clothes. Underneath the pile of stuff is 3 FULL boxes of kitchen stuff, and in the little blue draw is all my jewellery, nail paint etcetcetc. Im hoping to get all my clothes into three suitcases including shoes so wish me luck. That endeavour will have to be saved for a later date as I have to spend the next two days at work at Nursery. It is my last two days and im a wee bit sad to leave as i have met many new people there and will also miss the children. It was also fun having responsibilty!

12 days

There is now only 12 days till I leave, a slightly frightening prospect-but an exciting one.... I'm feeling really really tired because ive been working at nursery every day 8-6 for a few weeks. 11 babies (and i mean real real tiny babies) means 55 nappies, 22 different sleeps, 33 meals and ALOT of crying every single day and im shattered. so i'm really glad that i've got a week off (starting next Tuesday) before i actually go to uni to relax and pack etcetc. It all seems really real now as i've been emailed by my hall and now have my own personal arrival time where we can park the car right outside the hall to unload etc. ive picked a really early one (9-10) as I feel like this will give me the most time to get my grounding before Mum and Dad have to leave and the evenings stuff begins. I will probably be the first there though which might be odd...but I get shotgun on the cupboard space i guess.....
I'm interested to see how the day plays out and whether it'll be harder for Mum and Dad to leave me or me being left... I think its certainly going to be an emotional day and i'm nervous about that. I don't want to look like a loser in front of my new flat mates by being all MUMMMMMMMMMYYYYYDADDDYYYY, but as ive said before I am a true Mummy/Daddy girl and I'm perfectly happy to spend a day in their company rather than in people my own ages so it'll be like losing two friends as well as my cleaner, personal cook, chaufer, bank, therapist and secretary in one go.

Not long now!

Im getting really excited as the countdown really began this week with the begining of September. On the 1st, i found out the line up for the whole of Freshers... ie. the line  up for the freshers ball.
We have so many famous people coming: Gym Class Heros (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiiU-Fky18s ) Nero- who are a sort of drum and base band, DJ Fresh, Yasmin, Lock Essien, Wheatus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC3y9llDXuM&ob=av3e  ) and Scott Mills the radio one DJ. Thats just the music! There is also lots of entertainers such as an 'X-Rated Hypnotist' whatever that is!

On monday I can buy a premium extra card for £140. This will let me access lots of cool free stuff, and get me discounts at Loughborouh. It also includes the freshers ball ticket which in itself is £40 so it seems like a really great deal. Also this week I bought my smurf hat for freshers, how excited are you! ;p
So over the next two weeks I have work pretty much everyday, which means not much time for sorting stuff out. But ive taken the week before I leave off to buy my freshers ball dress and pack etc. I also plan to wash everything I own in preparation for freshers. Older loughborough students have been posting on the facebook group and most of them are saying that i should invest in lots of new pants and socks so that i can put off washing for as long as possible. hehehe :)
